Music Tag

Sometimes tracks are missing their artwork or they don’t have important track info such as Title, Album, Artist, and more. To address this situation, developer Wide Angle Software came up with the efficient, user friendly application Music Tag. It will scan your tracks and, if artwork or other track info is missing, it will download and add it to your tracks.

Music Tag provides support for Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8. To install it on a PC powered by any of these Windows editions, you will first have to download an installer, run it, and then click through the instructions presented by a setup wizard. If you’ve installed applications before, you shouldn’t have any problems installing this one.

The Music Tag interface is divided into two panels. The music files you loaded into the application are presented as a list in the panel to the left. Select a music file and info about it will be presented in the panel to the right. A traditional File Menu is in the upper left hand side and a Download Missing Info is in the upper right hand side.

From a functionality point of view, Music Tag has the following to offer: download missing artwork, get artwork from a file, download missing track info, add music files, add music folders, scan folders for music, remove tags, start playing a music file.

The Music Tag demo version will download album art and track info for you; but it will only save the music information to one of your music files per run.
